Our story

Danaro Interiors is a family owned business located in North Liberty, Iowa. After spending 10 years in the design industry working for top companies in the area, building a business felt like the natural step forward. Susie Rautiainen the founder and Interior Designer of Danaro (short for Mondanaro) Interiors started our small business in 2020 handling one project at a time. Building slowly, we’ve evolved into Danaro Interiors LLC.

Turning to art and the creative fields of business. The vision is about creating something a little different, let your space be unique. Let it be yours, let it be bold, let it play with your favorite things and house colors and items you love or cherish. Let an item remind you of your favorite places or people. Let your space become the place you want to be in. We’re all about it, bring grandpas old chair in. Maybe it needs a new finish, maybe it works better in another room but we can take care of that!

How can you be sure you'll achieve your desired result? It seems straightforward, but we’re committed to establishing a trusting relationship and asking the right questions. And we have a pretty favorable track record. Most of our clients tend to fall in love with the first draft, making requests for modifications minor but uncommon. It’s either intuition, over 10 years in the business, perhaps some magic, or all of the above.
